Candida
Germs
The
reason candida infections go unnoticed is because these germs are so small
they can only be seen through a special "electron" microscope.
They are much smaller than most other germs.
Millions
of germs (about 3 to 4 pounds) normally reside in your digestive tract,
helping to break down the food you eat. These germs are commonly
referred to as "intestinal flora" and are made up mostly of
bacteria and a very small amount of candida.
The
proper balance of bacteria to candida is:
1,000,000
bacteria : 1 candida
....that's
not much candida!
Beneficial
bacteria, as well as candida, is found in the soil and on the raw foods we
eat. Beneficial bacteria "feed" on candida and keep them
from growing out of control. Often, we receive an overdose of
candida germs when we are born, traveling through the birth canal.
One of the first symptoms of an infection might be colic, thrush or
jaundice. This can start a chain reaction of events throughout the
rest of your life.
Invasive
candidiasis starts out with candida germs entering the digestive system and
taking root in the intestines and bowels. The roots of the germs grow into and through the
intestinal walls. When the germs die, the root falls out of the
intestinal wall, leaving a larger than normal opening into the
bloodstream. When a candida germ passes through one of these
openings and enters the bloodstream, the infection becomes systemic
(throughout your system) and is referred to as invasive
candidiasis or systemic candidiasis.
After
entering the bloodstream, the candida germs spread to different parts of
the body and take up residence in our tissues, organs and bones.
They live off of blood sugars and other nutrients, robbing our tissues,
tendons and bones of the nutrients they need. The infection
continues to spread and grow as we age. If left untreated, they will
multiply, year after year until they cause serious disease and/or death.
Under
certain conditions (which most of us have been subject to, such as when we
take antibiotics, steroids or birth control pills) the candida germs multiply much
more rapidly.
Almost
all of our elderly have serious undiagnosed infections in their tissues,
tendons and bones. Their tissues have become weak. Their
tendons have become scarred and contracted, due to the candida germs
eating away at them. Scarred tendons pull the skeletal
structure out of alignment and can distort different parts of the body.
Crows feet is caused by this contraction of tendons. The scarred
tendons in the toes contract, pulling and curling under the toes.
Their bones have become fragile due to lack of nutrients. It is hard
enough to get adequate nutrients from the nutrient deficient foods we eat
today. Nutrient-robbing candida germs makes it even more difficult
to get nutrients to your tissues, tendons and bones.
Healthy
Highway specializes in removing infections such as invasive
candidiasis. To find out how, refer to our infection
