CELIAC DISEASE

BE AWARE

Some websites lead a person to believe that the presence of wheat protein antibodies in the bloodstream indicate they have a malfunction of the autoimmune system.  This is not true.  The autoimmune response is normal and natural and occurs in all people (unless the person has been taking dangerous drugs and their body is in an immune-compromised condition).  If anyone was to inject wheat proteins into the bloodstream, the autoimmune system would produce antibodies against these foreign proteins.  The problem is that proteins are not supposed to enter the bloodstream.  However, due to "leaky gut", they do.

When someone is tested positive for gluten protein antibodies, that indicates that the person has leaky gut.   It does not indicate that the person has some mysterious immune system malfunction.

When someone is tested positive for gluten protein antibodies, they most likely have other antibodies which were produced against the other proteins that also leak into the bloodstream.  Unfortunately, the medical community does not have ways to test for the presence of antibodies which are produced against the other types of proteins found in grains other than wheat, barley and rye.  The medical community continues to wrongly classify celiac disease to mean an autoimmune malfunction, when in fact, it is "leaky gut" that is causing wheat proteins to enter the bloodstream.

Then again, why would the medical community want to say that all autoimmune diseases are caused by leaky gut.  That would mean that many of their drugs that are designed against single, particular symptoms, would no longer be needed.  That would mean a lot less revenue for the pharmaceutical companies.   Remember, the pharmaceutical companies and medical doctors want us to be sick, so that they can sell us their drugs and so the doctors can continue to make money by treating our symptoms.
